6 Ways to Fight And Beat the Devil

Throughout history, it is believed that the devil has always been actively plotting to undermine the faith of believers. Although we are unable to physically see him, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he doesn’t exist. The devil tempts us with lofty temptations, whispering into our spiritual ears and influencing our thoughts. He was there when Jesus was born and also appeared at Calvary. He enjoys causing us distress and is quite skilled at enticing us to commit sinful acts, considering he was the original sinner! Satan rebelled against God and was subsequently cast out of Heaven.

This event had a domino effect, leading to sin entering the Garden of Eden. According to the Bible, it is mentioned that Satan is filled with anger. It’s not surprising that he was seen as God’s chosen one and then experienced a downfall that was quite dramatic. Sure, let’s take a look at Ezekiel 28:13-15. In these verses, Lucifer is described as a precious stone and referred to as “The anointed cherub that covereth.” It mentions that Lucifer was placed in a special position by God and was present on the holy mountain of God. It also says that Lucifer walked among the stones of fire. You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, until wrongdoing was discovered in you. The enemy wants to be superior to God. Do you lack power? I disagree! You possess various weapons at your disposal that you can utilize.

I have 6 Ways to Fight And Beat the Devil

Pray

Prayer is a powerful tool that protects us from the influence of the devil. It also provides us with a chance to communicate our desires and necessities to God. Prayer is an important part of our daily lives because it provides us with protection. The Bible teaches us that our struggle is not against other people, but against spiritual forces. Joel Osteen, the author, encourages you to recognize your opponent, understand their strategies and tactics, and rely on the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome them. Jesus also made it a habit to pray frequently. In Matthew 14:23, Jesus went up on a mountainside alone to pray. In Mark 1:35, it is mentioned that Jesus prayed in the morning. Jesus woke up very early in the morning, when it was still dark outside. He got out of the house and went to a quiet place by himself to pray. The Bible talks about prayer frequently because it holds great significance.

Cast Down Thoughts

When you experience feelings of depression, hate, anger, division, and struggle with addictions or negative thoughts, it’s possible that those could be attributed to the influence of the devil. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not with other people, but with the rulers, authorities, and powers of darkness in this world, as well as the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. In this situation, the best way to deal with these thoughts is to dismiss anything that is not true. Jesus experienced temptation while in the desert and also faced the temptation to give up while on the cross. However, He chose to remain steadfast by relying on the strength of God and the teachings found in God’s Word. In Matthew 4:2-3, it is written that the tempter approached Him and said, “If you are truly the Son of God, then use your power to turn these stones into bread.” Once again, Jesus emerged victorious.

Get Rest

If you’re completely worn out, both physically and mentally, you won’t have the energy to fight against the devil on a spiritual level. Make sure to take some time to rest and focus on building yourself up. Attending church, dealing with people, managing schedules, and confronting Satan directly can be quite exhausting. The author of Hebrews tells us to stop feeling tired, just like how we should stop feeling weary. So, let’s be enthusiastic and put in effort to actively pursue and work hard to enter into the state of rest that comes from God. We should aim to truly understand and personally experience it. When you’re feeling discouraged, take a moment to pause and let go of your burdens, entrusting them to God. When you’re going through tough times, it’s important to take some time to rest and recharge. And even on the days when things are going well, it’s still beneficial to give yourself some rest. Israel spent 40 years wandering through the wilderness and they felt exhausted. In Psalms 95:10-11, it says that for 40 years, I really didn’t like that generation. I said, “They are a group of people who constantly stray from the right path, and they don’t really understand how I do things.” So, I was really angry and I said, “They are not going to be allowed to come into my peaceful state.”

Renew Your Spirit

When you’re feeling overwhelmed and unsure if you can go on, try turning to the Scriptures. They can help you find solace and peace, and provide a way to cope with depression, anxiety, doubt, and anger. God has made a promise to us that He will renew our strength just like how an eagle is renewed. This means that we will be able to run without getting tired or feeling weak. You can also try reading the Bible, engaging in a devotional, spending time in prayer, or listening to worship music. These activities can help uplift your spirit and keep you feeling energized. It would be beneficial for you to consider turning to Jesus and embracing humility in His presence. Hey there, if you’re feeling tired and burdened, come on over to me and I’ll make sure you find some much-needed rest. Please consider accepting my guidance and teachings. I am kind-hearted and humble, and by doing so, you will discover peace and tranquility for your inner being. Jesus reminded us that his yoke is easy and his burden is light.

Know You Are Loved

The devil understands the depth of your love because he once experienced the love of the Father. John 3:16 says, “God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, so that anyone who believes in Him will not die, but have eternal life.” Please pray to the Lord and ask Him to reveal His love for you, so that you may experience His rest. When we feel His love, it naturally spreads to those around us. When you’re feeling your lowest and there’s nothing to motivate you, remember that He loves you. It’s understandable why the devil would be upset with you and anything that is good. Men and women were created by God with great love, to reflect the beauty of their Creator. The devil is upset about this.

Be Positive

In order to face any challenge, it’s important to have confidence. Additionally, it’s crucial to have a clear understanding of your identity in Christ. To accomplish this, begin by finding encouragement in the words of Scripture. You have a way with words that can really make a difference. Imagine your mouth as one of the most potent weapons in your possession. According to the Bible, it is said that what we speak reflects what is in our hearts, and our thoughts shape who we are as individuals. According to Osteen, if you alter your thoughts and words, God’s power can transform your life. Once you have enough confidence, you’ll be able to confront the devil and assert your dominance. If you struggle with self-confidence, it can feel like others take advantage of you and try to keep you down. Choose to embrace a positive mindset and believe in your abilities, rather than succumbing to doubt.

Dealing with the devil can be quite troublesome, regardless of your location. There may come moments when you feel like giving up and leaving for good. However, you have access to various tools that can help you. If you rely on faith, prayer, Scripture, and your own determination, you can overcome the challenges posed by the devil.
